Our Diode Laser Hair Removal system utilizes cutting-edge technology with 3 distinct wavelengths to provide the most effective, safe, and long-lasting results for all skin types. Designed to target hair at multiple depths, this treatment ensures smoother, hair-free skin with minimal discomfort and faster results.
What is Diode Laser?
Diode Laser Hair Removal is a highly effective and precise method for permanent hair reduction. It works by emitting a concentrated beam of light that is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle. This light is converted into heat, which damages the follicle and inhibits future hair growth.
The Diode Laser targets hair follicles at different depths within the skin, making it suitable for a wide range of hair types and skin tones. Its advanced technology allows for fast, comfortable treatments with minimal discomfort and excellent results.
The treatment is safe for most skin types and provides long-lasting hair reduction, significantly reducing the need for shaving, waxing, or other temporary hair removal methods.
How does it work?
Diode Laser Hair Removal works by using a focused beam of light that targets the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle. The process begins when the laser light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, which then converts this light into heat. The heat travels down into the hair follicle, damaging it and inhibiting its ability to grow new hair.
The laser is designed to selectively target dark, coarse hair while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. The energy from the laser is delivered in pulses that precisely treat multiple hair follicles at once, making the treatment fast and efficient.
As a result, the hair follicle is weakened, and over time, it stops producing hair. Multiple sessions are typically required for the best results, as hair grows in cycles, and the laser is most effective during the active growth phase (anagen).
Why is it better than other forms of hair removal?
Shaving is time consuming and the grow back is almost immediate. For those who shave but still want constant hairless bodies, shaving becomes part of the daily routine. Shaving also does not come without the nicks and rashes associated with a dirty or blunt blade.
Pre-Treatment Advice for Laser Hair Removal
4 Weeks Prior to Treatment:
- Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading for at least 4 weeks before your treatment and in between sessions. These methods remove the hair follicle, making the laser less effective.
- Avoid sun exposure and self-tanning for at least 4 weeks before your treatment and between sessions. Tanned skin can increase the risk of side effects, including burns and pigmentation changes.
1 Week Prior to Treatment:
- Avoid intense exfoliation, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels. These treatments can make your skin more sensitive and increase the risk of irritation during your Diode Laser treatment.
24 Hours Prior to Treatment:
- Shave the treatment area thoroughly. The laser targets the hair follicle beneath the skin, and shaving ensures that the laser energy is focused on the follicle, not the hair above the surface.
24-48 Hours Prior to Treatment:
- Avoid bleaching creams or perfumed products on the treatment area. These can irritate the skin and interfere with the treatment.
Additional Tips:
- Avoid swimming in chlorinated water right before or after your treatment. Chlorine can irritate the skin, making it more sensitive after your session.
- Wear loose clothing to your treatment session to avoid irritation on the treated area.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to help your skin heal and perform at its best.
- Protect your skin from the sun with suitable clothing and apply sunblock with SPF 30+ before your first treatment and in between sessions. However, avoid using sunblock within 24 hours of your scheduled treatment.
Post-Treatment Care for Diode Laser Hair Removal
For 48 Hours After Treatment:
- Avoid all heat treatments, including hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers, as they can irritate the treated area and increase the risk of side effects.
- Do not swim in strongly chlorinated water, as chlorine can cause irritation to the treated skin.
- Avoid bleaching creams or any other harsh skin products that could irritate the area.
- Do not use perfumed products (e.g., soaps, creams, or perfumes) on the treated area to prevent irritation.
- Leave any temporary skin reactions, such as redness, to subside naturally. These are common and typically resolve within a few hours to a day.
For 72 Hours After Treatment:
- Do not shave the treated area for 72 hours to allow the skin to heal and reduce the risk of irritation.
For 1 Week After Treatment:
- Avoid exfoliating the treated area or using any exfoliating products or peels. This allows the skin to heal and reduces the risk of irritation.
For 2 Weeks After Treatment:
- Avoid UV exposure, including direct sunlight and tanning beds.
- Do not use self-tanning products or get any type of sunless tan.
- Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading the treated area during your course of treatment.
- Avoid depilation (hair removal) creams.
- Avoid prolonged outdoor activities that may expose the treated skin to wind or excessive sun.
For 6 Weeks After Treatment:
- Use sun protection with SPF 30+ or higher to protect the treated area from sun damage.
- Limit sun exposure and avoid tanning beds.
Additional Tips:
- Hot and humid conditions can aggravate your skin post-treatment. To improve comfort and reduce swelling or redness, use cold compresses, aloe vera gel, or cooling gel on the treated area.
